THIS WAS A PROJECT FOR A FOR SALE HOME IN HOYT COLORADO. THE TANK WAS CRUMBLING AND THERE WAS NO LEACH FIELD. FURTHER, WE DISCOVERED MULTIPLE DRAIN PIPE COMING FROM THE HOME. VERY INTERESTING PROJECT TO SAY THE LEAST.

Here is the contraption we glued up. The smaller pipe services the washing machine and floor drain, which the larger receives everything else.Mainline.3′ of risers. We installed 3 rows of Infiltrator chambers.Effluent line leading to D-box with speed levelers.
This was a leach field expansion and repair for the sale of a home in Peyton CO. The field was only receiving effluent water on the west side, a common issue when the manifold is not level. We installed a distribution box with speed levelers to ensure equal effluent going forward.

Step 1, bring out the beast. We traced the effluent line to the manifold. We then installed a Tuff-Tite distribution box with speed levelers. We like to pour clean water into the d-box to make sure all lines are receiving the same amount of effluent water.
THIS WAS A 2 BED SYSTEM WITH A 1000 GALLON TANK. BOTH THE TANK AND THE CHAMBERS ARE MADE BY INFILTRATORS, WHICH WE USE MOST OF THE TIME ON OUR SYSTEMS. SYSTEM WAS GRAVITY. CLIENT IS CLAYTON HOMES; THE LEADER IN MANUFACTURED HOMES. VERY STRAIGHT-FORWARD INSTALL.

THIS IS A FAILED LEACH FIELD REPAIR. THE EXISTING FIELD WAS SATURATED AND THE HOMEOWNER CALLED US TO REPLACE. WE DESIGNED A SIMPLE GRAVITY FED CHAMBERED SYSTEM, USING 3 TRENCHES APPROX 80′ LONG. WE ADDED A ‘DIVERTER’ VALVE SO THE OLD SYSTEM COULD BE USED FROM TIME TO TIME.

This is the 3rd of 3 trenches we installed (level) on the side of this customer’s hillside. We used a distribution box to evenly divide effluent water. Here is the 1st of the 3 trenches. Notice the green grass of the old field on the right side. We don’t like the grass to be THAT green in the winter time.
This job came to us from Clayton Homes, one of our builder partners. The owners are building a 4 bed home with possibility of finishing another for 5. We went ahead and installed a 1500 gallon poly tank. Since the field was pure sand, it only called for 39 total chambers, which we installed in 3 50′ trenches.

We began by trenching a 60′ run downhill and installed the 1500 gallon tank perpendicular to the line. I like installing in fashion on slopes so we can keep the risers at the same length.

Here is a side view. You can see we had 36″ of risers!
We then trenched 33′ down the hill to a distribution box splitting the effluent into 3 lines with Flow Equalizers.
Here is a shot of 1 of the trenches that hold 13 Infiltrator Chambers. There are 3 trenches totalling 39 Chambers.
Passed inspection. We already covered the main line here…
Onto the next one. Another successful OWTS install from:
This job came to us from a referral from a prior client. The owners are building a massive 5 bed home. We added a 500 gallon pump tank because the grade of the lot was 2% uphill and the owner wanted the tank installed a good distance from the home.

We began be excavating for a 1500 gallon poly tank. Due to the depth of the mainline from the home, and the slope of the lot, we quickly knew a pump tank was needed. This challenge was previously discussed with the client; and yes, it ended up being required.

We then ran the pump line up the hill to the distribution box; with flowed into 4 80′ long 3′ wide trenches, that housed 20 Infiltrator Chambers, each.
Here is another angle of the Distribution box. After passing inspection, we were able to backfill.
Onto our next challenge. Another successful system installed by:

Line leads into the side port of a 1000 gallon poly tank by Infiltrators. We like the flexibility of tank placement with the multiple inlet and outlet lines that the poly Infiltrator tank offers.

The outlet line travel approx. 30′ down to the distribution box. We install 4 outlet lines on the distribution box, with Flow Equalizers.

Here is another shot of the D-Box, with field line 1. There where 4 lines of Infiltrators with 20 in each line.

After we passed inspection, we backfilled the system. Here is a shot of my Dad with his beloved tractor, box scraping the field to ensure there are no bird baths.

We began with the septic line leading out of the skirt of the modular home and down to the tank. 24″ of risers.
The outlet leads 19′ down to a 45 degree turn… All 4″ schedule 40 pipe.
The line then leads downhill to the Distribution box..
It’s extremely important that the Distribution Box is level, North->South and East -> West.
It’s also important the all pipe is level, and bedded. Bedding is a process of setting the foundation for the pipe, so that it does not move when backfilling.
HERE IS A CONVENTIONAL GRAVITY SYSTEM FOR A DOG KENNEL WHICH CALLED FOR 2500 GALLONS WORTH OF TANK. WE UNGRADED TO 2 1530 GALLONS. WE INSTALLED 138 INFILTRATOR CHAMBERS IN 6 3′ BY 100′ TRENCHES AND INSTALLED A DISTRIBUTION BOX WITH FLOW EQUALIZERS.

We installed the two tanks in series with 12″ to 18″ risers.
Tri County requires a sweeping T for your inlet T. Don forget that!
About 70′ trench down to the field. 5% slope.
Excavation to spec. 3 foot wide trenches, 100′ long, and 6′ between each trench.
Passed inspections. Time to backfill!

Here is a Conventional gravity system which called for a 1250 gallon tank. We ungraded to 1530 gallons, free of charge. We installed 100 Infiltrator chambers in a 12′ by 100′ bed and installed a distribution box with flow equalizers.

Customer requested an RV dump port. We also changes from 12″ to 18″ risers on the 1500+ gallon tank.

Risers increased to 18″ to be sure of a flush-to-grade finish.
Here is a distribution box with risers. The box is equipped with 4 flow equalizers.
