Here is a Engineered pump system which was an addition to a ‘mother-in-law’ suite on top the 2nd story of a detached garge. The Engineer called for a 1000 gallon tank and a 500 gallon pump tank. We used a .5hp Liberty Pump with Colorado panel for dosing metrics and alarm.
Design of system: Homestake Engineering
Aggregate Supplier: NA
Plastic Supplier: Plastics Inc.
Tank Supplier: Plastics Inc.
County: Douglas
We began with running the septic line out of the garage and 2 45 degree turns, under the driveway, and 2 more 45 degree turns to the tanks.
Here are the tanks behind the garage (after a nasty rainstorm!!)
This job has tight space. The engineer and owner wanted the field next to the fence, but due to a water line easement, we had to stay 25′ away. Had to find another spot.
So, we found another location, but due to lot-size limits, we had to cut our pipe in 1/2 and double the amount of trenches. All for 1 water line easement. uggg.
Here is another angle. Notice how short the field is due to the driveway. Lot’s of wet sand in this part of Littleton CO.
We had to connect the field to the pump tank, with was a couple hundred feet further than planned.
Here are the 4 valves. MUST be level.
Here are some shots of backfilling the system.
Back-fill Mainline.
